Road traffic management software

Presentation

NovaTraffic is the centralized software platform whose role is management assistance system of the road traffic. In direct connection with objects in the field, NovaTraffic ensures the remote management of warning speed signs and the display of statistics retrieved in real-time. NovaTraffic software is installed in the Novaccess cloud or under certain conditions in the customer’s IT infrastructure.

It integrates a “network server” which maintains real-time connections with the warning speed signs in the field. Connections are made either via a cellular network (3G) or Ethernet. NovaTraffic software is available through a standard web browser.

Mapping

A map makes it possible to visualize the entire warning speed signs fleet deployed in the city. Several indicators make it possible to geographically visualize the state of the traffic and the behavior of road users.

Remote reconfiguration

From the online software, you can reconfigure the warning speed sign parameters remotely. A wide choice of icons is available, and the messages to be displayed according to the speeds detected can thus be easily changed. In addition, this ease of reconfiguration allows the display of news related to current road conditions. Therefore, it is possible, for example, to warn users during the first days of black ice.

Behavior analysis

Based on two detected speeds, the approaching speed of the vehicle (before a message is displayed) and the car passing speed, drivers are classified. It is thus possible to verify the impact of the warning speed sign on the behavior of drivers. A weekly history of driver behavior is available.

Traffic analysis

You can analyze vehicle flow statistics sign by sign*. It is thus possible to examine in detail the number of vehicles detected per hour and compare these measurements against the average values of another selected period. Speed statistics are also available.

* Be careful; the accuracy of this information drops in the event of congested roads. Indeed, the radar only detects vehicles traveling at more than 15 km / h, and the minimum distance between two cars must be at least 20m.
